Mrs. Chabot's & Ms. Clegg's Students
7th Grade Social Studies and Language Arts
For the Medieval Faire you will either be a tour guide or an actor based on which period you have Ms. Clegg. Please listen in BOTH classes for details.
As you do have twice the work time, you will present first. In addition to the grades you will earn for your notes, costume, presentation, and paper, you will also earn points for each work period. As we anticipate you will finish early with your double work time, you may earn your work period points towards the end by assisting other students with their costumes. (This means your entire project is completed first!)
Medieval Faire Project Description: Actors
  1. Research actors from the website.
  2. Notes completed and not plagiarized.
  3. Effective use of work periods (meaning you use the periods to work on your speech, costume, or rehearsal of the play).
  4. Prepare speech that matches rubric. Speech will contain 2 parts:
    1. Information on Feudalism and the Role of Religion in Medieval Life (to meet Social Studies Learning Targets), and Life in the Middle Ages (Do not recopy your feudalism and religion notes. This should be additional information about what life was like back then).
    2. Performance of play/knowing lines.
  5. Create a costume based on the rubric.
  6. Written version of your paper based on rubric.
Medieval Faire Project Description: Tour Guides
